This post title is a bit wordy I know, but I wanted to tackle a sort of general, inspirational topic which should apply to pretty much everyone really. Being better at what you do.
Whether you are in business for yourself, working for someone else, trading the stock markets etc… Self improvement should be an important part of your to do list. If you are employed, being the best you can be will open up new career opportunities and ultimately a better salary. If you are self employed of course, being better will probably lead to a better, stronger, more profitable business. So with that said, let’s look at what you could be doing if you are serious about bettering yourself:

1: Goal Setting

The first part is to actually set a goal. Not just decide that you are going to improve, but how? Which parts of your skill set most need improvement? Maybe you are an internet marketer, but you are weak on Social media stuff or maybe you are a web designer but you’re not as good with WordPress as you would like. Setting specific goals and timelines adds the pressure that pushes you to improve.

2: Set A Schedule

Some people never make time to learn, some people spend too much time learning and not enough time doing. Don’t be either of those people. Set a schedule for your working week that allows a sensible amount of time for learning and also set time when you will work on applying that knowledge. Making this schedule a habit will ensure that you are constantly learning and keeping up with the best in your field.

3: Training

Training is of course the fastest way to get better at something. Short training courses are generally designed to help you quickly understand a new topic. An entrepreneur might benefit from some book keeping training for instance – you don’t need to be an expert, but getting up to speed with the basics will help a lot. This is also a great way to expand into a new area in your business or career.

4: Conferences

If you are serious about being a high achiever, regardless of your field there is almost certainly a conference somewhere in the world where the best of the best meet. Have a look into these events and carefully weigh up the value that they might offer. They can be quite expensive, but if you pick carefully it is an investment that can pay off.

5: Emulate The Best

Whatever you want to do in life, there is someone that has done something similar – these people are the ones you should be aspiring to be like, but they may not be as untouchable as you think. Make it a mission to find the people who have done what you want to achieve and try to emulate their success – reach out to them even and just ask a simple question or offer them your help. You might be surprised at the connections you can make.

On an ideal scenario, you want to be inspired by high quality content of a successful blogger and/or his writing style. That way you will be replicating the process of “producing quality content,” which is distinctively the core principal of developing an authority blog. However if you are one of those masses who realized half way through “Oh schit, I need content; $1 for 500 words, damn cheap!,” do yourself and Internet a favor; stop and rethink your steps. Look for ways to inspire yourself. Follow the big players in your niche.

Are you not inspired yet?

Now its time to do some self evaluation. Which category do you fit into? The vast majority of people who always want to get into the “next-big-business,” the average who possess some entrepreneurial flair but no vision, or the tiny percentage of onliners who are deeply inspired by a person or a business and thoroughly decisive on what they want to do and how they want to do it. If you fit into the latter, then put your advantages to good use…

Make a solid entry and get recognized!

You have only one chance, so why not make it count with a bang and make everyone notice your arrival. This is an advantage you have over other new players or competitors, only if you understand and implement your inspirational thoughts in an “organized” manner. Going back to the previous example, preparing some content of substance and perhaps creating a buzz using social media sites even before finalizing the look and feel of your blog, would gain you some recognition. Sometimes those tiny things you do in life go a long way.

Now then the real stuff. Ok, let’s agree with Mr.Andrew whatever for a moment. Mobile apps are hot and hell of a lot of people buy mobile apps and furthermore so much other stuff are being bought using some of these apps as well. But I’m yet to see how his website generator software fall along with “Mobile Apps.” Be very careful, what Andrew sells is NOT a mobile app. You should know that by now. Let’s proceed a step further, ‘my mobile money pages’ does NOT create or generate mobile apps that can be sold either. Here’s the hard truth, what Andrew whatever sells is yet another crappy website generator software with a small twist. Wanna know what the twist is? this time the crap can be accessed via any smart-phone. As far as I know, every Tom and Dick’s website can be accessed through smartphones; no big deal right.

I think I’m getting good at finding serious flaws on IM product presentations. Andrew goes on to show us a live demo of his software which is a total bull shit. He somehow forgets to hide the website URL’s that he created. Here’s the link of the actual page he created, not even slightly close to what he demonstrates on the video – Lion King DVD Site. I don’t think you can get a 1cent adsense click on this site, let alone selling Lion King DVD’s.

Then he talks about backlinks, SEO and search engine ranking. But the before all that he has to get his main domains indexed in Google first. Do a site search for one of his main domains – site:themoneyclubsite.com and you will see how many pages have been indexed; obviously none.

So I think I have made my point here. I did not buy this product and never will. Its sufficient to say ‘My Mobile Money Pages’ is just another website generator software and may not be worth the money at all. If you have used this and think otherwise, please comment below.

I’m upset, firstly because I gave you preference when I chose to buy IM products from CB and secondly 90% of what I promote are YOUR CB products. Don’t get me wrong, I stick with my perception about your previous products, but YOU as a person; I’ve lost confidence now.

Ok, the concept seems appealing, perhaps it may even be working for some people (the concept, not the product itself). Geo targeted keywords and niches are something that has been around for some time now. Geo targeted niches are not “NEW” as you proclaim it to be. For those who don’t know, Commission Tsunami is a software that creates micro niche websites targeted towards geographical locations specified by the user.

Let’s assume Commission Tsunami creates brilliant looking, highly informational websites with unique content (Warning: in reality it may not…). But they never speak about SEO or backlinking techniques. They want you to create quantities of micro niche geo-targeted websites and just hope for Google #1 position or perhaps first page; how ignorant or misleading? in fact, See exactly where Anik’s own example site – bestplumberrockville.com ranks for even a long tail phrase like “best blumbers in rockville maryland.” Literally, I can’t locate the site in Google SERP’s, let alone Google #1 or first page.

Mr.Anik Singal also just picks up a domain name from the top of his head. Do you know how carefully a domain name must be picked in terms of SEO and business intergrity? Do you really think that its a viable business to create thousands of spammy looking websites and just hope for the best? What about the overheads like domain renewal and hosting? Anik, you don’t seem to regard any of those key ingredients that a viable online business should possess.

He also brags about how long it takes to create one site using Commission Tsunami and then the potential income from 30 sites in a month. He does some “simple stupid maths” during the webinar. Yep Anik’s maths seems to be real stupid.

Now then, the price tag of Commission Tsunami is insane. I don’t usually critisize price tags on useful software, because if someone buys anything he is assumed to have done some research on the product which has deemed useful in the buyer’s perception. However when its 20 times expensive than an average highly-useful internet marketing software, the product has to be magnanimous. You know what? Commission Tsunami is not worth it even with a 95% discount of its actual price.

In conclusion you either avoid Commission Tsunami at all costs or fall into a trap hole in the dark. Simple as that. But if you really wanted to try a cool IM software that has all the ingredients missing in the Commission Tsunami, try Lethal Commission. If i were to give another review on Lethal Commission, it would be the exact opposite of this one.

How difficult it is to create a content site that earns a small $1 – $5 a day. Think about a system that not only automates such a process but also lets you create an unlimited number of such cool money making sites.

I can virtually hear you screaming with several questions now. Let me answer the most important one here. Regardless of the language, a blog should attract a decent amount of regular and new visitors on a daily basis. This is the foundation of making money from a blog. One way or the other a solid traffic strategy is essential to establish a successful blog. Assuming the main traffic stream for a blog is free-search-traffic; in order to have a consistent flow of visitors, this blog will have to address what people are searching for plus it has to rank well in search results too. Now the real problem comes when the blog is in Sinhala. How many people do you think use Google-Sinhala? Never mind their prefernce of language to read articles but to search for something? See the paradigm here?

Although internet users in Sri Lanka are growing by the day, it’s still a very neglegible percentage of the global internet user volume. Even then the majority of those Sri Lankan internet users who surf regularly have a pretty good understanding of the English Language. I think I’ve made my point here. A blog has to target every possible interested person or group within the niche. What better way is there to achieve this than to start a blog in a language which more than half the world speak and understand?

Ok.It’s totally acceptable to promote Singhala on the internet. But if you do go along this concept, forget about free search traffic and adopt another strategy to drive visitors to your blog. If you have decent methods for traffic other Google, Yahoo or other major search engines fine. But wouldn’t it be nice to have the comfort of knowing that major search engines will send you traffic consistently for FREE, no matter what? Think about it.

This is like deciding between speaking to a portion of Sri Lankans vs speaking to a group of people across the globe with similar interests. Always remember; bigger the pie, bigger the slice you get from it.

Having said it, I am not against Sinhala blogs. What I say is in a nutshell, if your motivation is to make money online with a blog, Sinhala is not the ideal language you have to start it with. Then again, you can always prove me wrong. Dare to surprise me with some examples of Sinhala blogs and their stats? You are most welcome!

As the new regulation is said to be effective from 1st August 2011, ClickBank wants to get everyone complying by at least 31st August 2011, though it is not clear how they want existing ClickBank products to be filtered through new amendments.

Personally, this is exactly what I was waiting for, in the sense that genuine affiliates had very little chance of retaining customers with overly hyped up sales letters, even when the end product is sweet as honey. Now I only have to look for quality products and let ClickBank worry about bogus sales pitches.
