Online trading or using a client terminal such as &#8220;Meta Trader 4&#8243; are just popular methods of accessing forex markets, yet they require manual intervention from the trader. However there is a neat little feature in the &#8216;Meta Trader&#8217; platform which allows the user to execute his strategy through certain pieces of programs called &#8216;Expert Advisors&#8217; which ultimately automates the trading process which makes MT4 a popular platform to utilize forex automated trading methods.</p>
<p>Although this requires the PC where the Meta Trader 4 terminal is installed to be switched on all the time or at least when the trading strategy requires to place orders, &#8216;Expert Advisors&#8217; totally automates the process from recognizing the signals, placing orders to closing orders whether its due to stop-loss / take-profit limits or dynamic close signals from forex indicators thus providing a platform to achieve forex automated trading.</p>

<p>Expert Advisors are written in MetaQuotes Language 4 (MQL4) which is a built in language for programming forex trading strategies. But just because there is a way to set a forex automated trading account does not mean guaranteed success. Success depends on the actual strategy that is programmed into the &#8216;Expert Advisor&#8217;, risk/reward factors  and money management.</p>

<p>In Forex Trading, foreign exchange in the form of currency pairs are traded similar to that of Stock Exchange shares (or Other Securities) in stock and other trading markets. In essence, speculating the rate changes in currency markets can result in consistent profits.</p>

<p>The term &#8220;Foreign Exchange&#8221; is the name of the most liquid market in the world &#8211; every day there are almost 2 trillion U.S. dollars exchanged. This is a market without a physical center, on which 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, trading is conducted. This trade is now accessible by private small-time investors, as opposed to being an inter-bank only market in old times. Another advantage of forex trading are the low spreads (margins between buy and sell price), especially in comparison to the stock exchange, and very low transaction costs, which generally amount to only a few pips.</p>
<p>Investors buy a certain currency against another in the form of forex instruments or currency-pairs in hope of gaining a profit when the rate fluctuates again. <p>However, let&#8217;s just remind ourselves that Mr. Leonard Fibonacci discovered ratios created by a series of numbers, that describes the natural proportions of everything that&#8217;s natural. He did not discover the magic portion for extraordinary forex profits. If you are still dreaming, it&#8217;s time to wake up&#8230;</p>

<p>The number series goes as: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 &#8230;. You get it, right? The series starts from 1 and the continuity rule is that the current value added to the previous value generates the following value of the sequence. What we are interested in are the ratios these numbers create between them. After the first few numbers in the sequence, the ratio between two adjacent numbers is 0.618, and the ratio between alternate numbers are rounded off to 0.382.</p>
<p>Although we need not know how exactly to arrive on each of the ratios, we need to know at least the all important ratios themselves. They are as follows..</p>
<p>Retracement Levels<br />
0.236, 0.382, 0.500, 0.618, 0.764</p>
<p>Extension Levels<br />
0, 0.382, 0.618, 1.000, 1.382, 1.618</p>
<p>Basically, in the traders world, the retracement levels means support and resistance levels, and the extension levels mean profit taking levels. These levels created upon a trending chart should help you with stop loss or take profit limits accordingly.</p>
<p>Most brokers provide charting tools and software that include Fibonacci tools to help you with trading. These techniques require a lot of practice and practice makes it perfect. This doesn&#8217;t by any means imply that you will end up in profit, anytime you enter a trade using Fibonacci levels as the base. But it is worth to know that, because of so many traders rely and use Fibonacci levels heavily in their trading, you can anticipate certain resistance and support at Fibonacci levels in real time charts.</p>
<p>All analysis tools work best when they are not heavily relied upon as the sole, decisive system tool. If you are a technical trader and are allergic to news trading, then you are better off combining few forex signals into your system. Be careful not to overcook your cake. Typically, to sell while the value falls and to buy while value rises. This is a comprehensive list of forex brokers. There is no such thing called the &#8216;best forex broker&#8217;.  You may categorize them according to the customer service if you wish. But generally each and every forex broker is different in what exactly they offer. So overall, the best froex broker in my opinion are the ones that best suit your requirements.</p>
<p>If you are looking to trade forex from Sri Lanka, there are few things you must consider when you chose a broker. Among other things, you must give some thought on funding and withdrawal options they have to offer. Currently it is not possible to link to a local bank account directly, for funding purposes. You might want to browse through forex brokers who offer services from PayPal, Alertpay etc. Even with PayPal it may not be straightforward when you want to withdraw funds. Luckily there is a workaround for this. But that is a totally different topic for another day.</p>

It is also important to note that all simple things are not necessarily easy. So is Forex Trading. It seems so simple when you learn.</p>
<p>Making big money methodically with a unique system suitable for you is what forex currency trading is all about! If making big money in a short term is what you want, Forex currency trading may not fit your bill. Forex trading requires commitment, not only with money but also with time, effort and knowledge. Although it is possible to turn unbelievable profits because the rates of exchange on the foreign market can rise and fall quickly, it is also possible that you get a margin call with your very first trade. So Forex currency trading is not an ‘invest some money and wait for profit’ sort of business.</p>

<p>We all know, when we exchange currency for a vacation or something, the rates are constantly changing. For example you change 1000 rupees into another currency planning to travel, and then find that you do not need it and change it back. The rate will probably have changed in the meantime and you may even have made a profit.</p>
<p>Forex traders deal in currencies in a slightly different manner. We can value a currency, only against another currency. E.g. if we say the rate of Canadian Dollar (CAD) is 1.0031, it’s totally meaningless. But if someone says the rate of CAD against the USD is 1.0031 it means that you will get 1.0031 CAD’s for 1 USD. In forex traders terms USDCAD = 1.0031. So Forex traders use these currency pairs called instruments.</p>
<p>Foreign currency trading is in many ways very similar to stock trading. Both traders use a broker for placing trades. Statistics and news trends are used heavily in both the businesses. But unlike stock trading, forex trading is not limited to a local market. You can trade any currency pair regardless of where you live. In other words the market is open from Monday morning in Australia to Friday afternoon in New York.</p>

It is essential that you find the right broker for you. Since various forex traders bring different advantages to the table, it is always a good idea to find the best one to suit your needs. Different things to consider would be, minimum deposit amount, based country, funding and withdrawal facilities, online trading facilities and MT4 compatibility. But before all this make sure you&#8217;re equipped with the most effective weapon in this business, knowledge!</p>
<p>Further down the road you may notice that, it is also possible to use robot software to place forex currency trades for you. They are called &#8216;Expert Advisers&#8217;. It&#8217;s a catchy term but hey, they are not human. Human versions of course don&#8217;t have a specific forex term to be called, at least. Here again, you must remember these forex bots are only pieces of codes. Expert Advisers work best when there is human intervention to a certain extend. Some might disagree, but this is my personal opinion.
