I had read a blog post a while back (don’t remember the blog) part of which explained how the author was earning a part time income with forex trading. Although I did not take any action according to the newly triggered enthusiasm then, I was fortunate enough to have myself reminded about forex once again by a friend of mine recently. Coincidence? May be…
Since then I have been glued to several forex related sites and gained some invaluable knowledge about forex trading. A statement that I heard time and time again was that, ‘without discipline you are doomed to fail in forex’. It couldn’t be more precise in what it means. You may have the best system in the world and still fail if you don’t have the discipline to follow the rules.

Forex is the shorten term for foreign exchange. In forex comodity and the medium both are foreign currencies. It could be a combination of any foreign exchange. Although it’s a good idea to stick to the most popular currencies (such as USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD ) , trading is not restricted to only these.
Forex trading is not a new method to make some cash online although it’s brand new to me. So I took the trouble to go through some educational material in order to fulfill the gaps and to do a risk analysis, whether to invest a portion of my hard earned money. The outcome was rather interesting, in fact I haven’t yet made the decision. But the odds are in favor of a yes at 90 to 10

No follow or Do follow? it’s not a 50/50 toss of a coin guess. I came accross these webmaster specific “follow” terms, not so long ago. I have since then read, researched and tested enough advice, to know the baseless crap in most. So I took a different approach and stopped seeking advice from others and went onto use my own thinking.
Here’s my thought process….

One character .BIZ domain names are scheduled to be auctioned at Sedo later this month. There has been some discussion over this and the majority of the domain community seem to think that the auction will flop. Nevertheless, there are only 36 of them. So the extreme rarity of these names could be a real tempter.
Overstock.com has already won the O.biz through the RFP process and intends to launch a B2B site at this domain name. Rest of the names which are not claimed through RFP process will go on auction at Sedo on 23rd September 2009.

So you wanna explore new methods to sell domains. Before you jump into conclusions, this is a totally experimental method that I’m currently “trying” to adopt. So if you’re looking for proven tactics for selling domains or developped websites, this may not be for you. On the other hand if you feel adventurous and want to try new ideas you might want to hang in for a few more minutes. Either way, let me thank you first for popping by.

Sri Lanka the pearl of the Indian ocean, once self sufficient with produce within the country, now in debt to the most part of the world. What exactly should change in Sri Lanka? Well, this is my humble attempt to answer the very same question. It is utterly depressing to see a nation with higher standards of education and cultural values, struggle to reform and develop the country. It is also very sad to see the short sighted opportunists thrive in all areas of Sri Lanka’s economy, where they blindfoldedly deny the future of their own children.
The current situation in North/East provinces is fragile and blurd. With the focus of the world being elsewhere, the progress of the North after war is minute and minimum. Have we forgotten the values of life? Some reports suggest there are 1400 deaths each week in internment camps. Only a fraction of 300,000 misplaced prople have been settled so far. Surely the attitude towards refugees in the camps has to change, so does the pace of settling people back in their homes. By no means can we forget the root causes of the long lasted friction between different ethnicities. Love and respect for each other have been overwhelmed with hatred and mistrust. Is it not time we trusted each other and develop some respect for others? Younger generations have to be taught the importance of coexisting rather than differences within us. Sri Lankans as a nation must learn to tag ourselves only as Sri Lankans rather than the language spoken or religion observed.

How to use wordpress plugins? I’m thinking if I should rephrase the title to ‘How to select wordpress plugins’. Plugins are one of the many reasons to fall in love with wordpress. Whatever the functionality you require on your blog, 99% chance that you’d find a wordpress plugin for it. With latest versions of wordpress allowing the search and installation of plugins within the admin panel, it’s just a peace of cake to modify a blog with extra functionality.
WordPress Plugins are very easy to get carried away with and it can sometimes be overwhelming to workaround them. Eventually you might have to twist and tweak plugins individually or in combination, just to shape them to do what you exactly want them to do. It’s always best to avoid plugins if the purpose is not of high importance.

How about automating the whole bunch of it? But what’s the point if I’m just gonna pose like a robot to my friends and colleagues. Then again how on earth am I going to find time for all 64 of them (ok, I admit. 64 is bit exaggerated).
Looking back at my approach to social networking for marketing a blog, I found out that being a human on social networking sites has helped me gain some exposure. What I had done wrong was to become impatient with the ‘time consuming stratergy’. Now here’s the dilemma, I really want to build a quality network around me at the same time I don’t want to spend hours and hours on social sites. There is no way out… is there?
